I was given this book as a gift from a Pastor and am very grateful he gave it to me. It completely changed my view of the Sabbath. The book is very balanced. It doesn't give a list of "dos" and "donts" and neither does it take a legalistic or abolished stance. Thanks be to God for using this book to show me that the Sabbath is not a curse but a blessing. Sure i would have said that before by word, but not by action. January 21, 2009

This is a good introduction to the issue of keeping the Lord's day, although it could have been organized a little better. It gives the Biblical basis for keeping the Sabbath, but expressly avoids legalism. When you want a heavier book, read Chantry's "Call the Sabbath a Delight", but be ready for an apparent leaning toward legalism. I don't think Chantry crosses the line into it, but he leans that way more than Ray. Ray does a good job of keeping it the day of celebration and enjoyment of our wonderful God that it should be.
