ChristianBook eBooks on the Sony Reader
To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

Ognyen @ Justaboutanywhere5 Stars Out Of 5Another TranslationFebruary 3, 2015Ognyen @ JustaboutanywhereQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5CBD knows when to hit me with a sale. I opened up my catalog after work and heard harp music and watched as the rainbow fell on the ad for the CEB Thinline Bible. At that price, I couldn't afford NOT to add a new translation to my collection. I imagined it to water down some of the theology, as many new versions do, but it sticks with what I perceive to be original intent. Thin pages and readable, fairly small print, but I didn't expect lots more for the price. Easy reading, without changing the theology. Excellent gift Bible for a new believer!
Md99mdDCAge: 45-54Gender: male1 Stars Out Of 5terrible printing and bindingMarch 4, 2014Md99mdDCAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I received this item. It is a lot of bother to package something back up to return, so I did not bother, given the price. Aside from the tiny print, the actual binding is terrible because the inside margin is almost non-existent. You almost have to rip the Bible in two to even see the words close to the binding. Skip this item and find another printing.
quicksilverSt. Maries, IDAge: 55-65Gender: male3 Stars Out Of 5disappointedOctober 20, 2012quicksilverSt. Maries, IDAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1This Bible was made well, had a comfortable size, and the print size was okay. I had read a few excerpts from an online Bible reading, but was quite disappointed in the text as translated. "The Human One" does not make an impression on me when it comes to Jesus' title. Jeremiah is called human one as well. I know that "Son of Man" probably is the same but this just really turned me away from this particular translation. Maybe it will be good for you but I returned it for my money back after reading it for only a couple of weeks.

CherylMGeorgiaAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A very good translation of the Bible.July 11, 2012CherylMGeorgiaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I was happy to get the Common English Bible for my Nook reader. I have had a copy of the New Testament since this new translation was published last year, so I was very glad to get a full copy. I think this is an excellent translation for today's Christians, not too trendy, but certainly very current with today's English done by respected scholars of our time. I really enjoy having a copy of the Bible on my e reader to go along with other Bibles I use. Worth it. Reasonable pricing.
Q: Is this eBook the entire Bible version of the Common English Bible? Is this eBook the entire Bible version of the Common English Bible or the New Testament alone?
