In the small group Bible study DVD, The Case for a Creator: A Six-session Investigation of the Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God, Lee Strobel investigates scientific discoveries and explores how they form a solid basis for belief in God.
Former journalist and skeptic Lee Strobel has discovered something very interesting about science. Far from being the enemy of faith, science provides a solid foundation for believing in God as ongoing discoveries point to the incredible complexity of our universe, a complexity best explained by the existence of a Creator.
So has science finally discovered God? Certainly new discoveries in such scientific disciplines as cosmology, cellular biology, astronomy, physics and DNA research point to the incredible intricacy of our universe, a complexity best explained by the existence of a Creator. In it, weighty and complex evidence is delivered in a compelling, conversational style.
This DVD features six 10-15 minute live teaching sessions and interviews from Lee Strobel. Its designed for use with the companion Case for a Creator Participant's Guide (sold separately).

AJR2 Stars Out Of 5April 4, 2009AJRDVD study is fine. But you do not have all you need in this Kit. Publisher marketing Ethic is deceptive. The DVD is OK! However, the questions to ask the group are NOT included in the leaders guide. The Leaders guide simply directs you to ask the questions on pp.... in the Student Book). You MUST purchase a student guide separately (Not included in this kit) before you can use the program, to know what questions to ask verbally. Don't hand this to a Small Group leader thinking you have all you need. I never use the excessively over priced Study Guides for any of these type of products anyway ($8 plus $2 shipping? Why don't they make them out of news print or something for $1?) We simply discuss verbally. However, I realize this is a slick marketing trick to get more money. With no Questions included in the leaders guide we almost got caught. We ordered the DVD with leaders guide, thinking we had all we needed to run the program. Luckily, I scanned the program and found this just a few weeks before starting. Then had to order the Student book after, and wait another 2 weeks for delivery. Actual minimal cost to use this product is really another $8 for the Student Book, and $2 extra shipping- The program total is really $28 before you can use this DVD as a study. Same for Case for Faith, Christ, & Creator)CBD & Publisher. The price does not concern me. I'll gladly pay more. But just include the Student book in with the Leaders Kit and DVD and increase the price, so that we have what we need to start a group, without scrambling a the last minute. OR, at the very least, inform the customer in the description of this item that ONE Student Book is required to run the program, if you wish to know what questions to ask. Inform the publisher the Study Guides are ridiculously priced for what you get. That is why we decided to stop using them for all DVD small groups we run. Thank you!
Scott Plavnick2 Stars Out Of 5January 21, 2009Scott PlavnickIt's very important to realize that this is NOT a MOVIE FORMAT! I couldn't tell that from CBD's description. There is no "play all" selection available. So it is really just for the small group materials that accompany it. If you want a documentary movie, buy the other DVD available.
Lynn Lapan1 Stars Out Of 5December 31, 2008Lynn LapanNot worth the money if you are not using with the full curriculum and even then, we think it's a waste. We were very disappointed.
