The Case for Christ
We are studying this in our Sunday School Class! It has been a very thought provoking study. We have two co- teachers, both very thorough! We have combined two classes to study this book. Wow what a class!

great gift to give complete strangers
I've had many unplanned casual conversations with total strangers that have made me aware of another's search for understanding in the theological sense. Quite often it will be the only conversation I ever expect to have with that person. If I think the person is open to a question I will often ask "what do you think of Jesus Christ?" The answers are always interesting as the focus is on a person, rather than "religion" per se.
At an appropriate point I will simply tell them about a bright, well educated guy who also had questions, sought answers as an "investigative journalist"and wrote a compelling book about his search that is titled "The Case For Christ". If it strikes a chord and they appear to be intellectually honest, I ask them if they'd like to read it. They are always surprised and pleased when I hand them a copy. I ask them to pass it along to someone else when they finish it. My contact telephone and e-mail address are on the inside cover in case they ever want to talk further. I know of lives that have been changed simply by reading the book and concluding the Bible is a reliable historical document - - which opens the door a bit further for anyone who is seeking. I keep a supply of "The Case For Christ" in my car. It is not up to me to "convert" anyone. That is the work of the Holy Spirit.

The Case
Overall I thought this book was pretty brilliant. I have not read a book like this, not that they aren't on the market, and I felt that taking the case for Christ from a legal point of view was interesting. There were times when I didn't feel like Strobel carried things through enough, but he does give recommended readings after each chapter. I recommend this for people that don't know the scriptures very well, Christians that are in want of answers or "proof", and anyone that believes the Jesus Seminar group.

I give this book to others that have very little or no knowledge about the scriptures. It is an excellant tool to draw others to Christ
