Tell us a little about yourself. I am a Registered Nurse of 25 years, Christian and Founder of The Jesus Way Ministries. I reside in Memphis, Tennessee, and uses Gods anointed gift of rhyme as an avenue to teach the skills of the The Jesus Way.
What was your motivation behind this project? My godly-appointed assignment is not to come out of captivity from two abusive marriages and get Gods liberty just for myself, but to share The Jesus Way so that others can do the same. The Jesus Way helped me to gain victory from my oppressive captivity; for I felt I would never be strong enough to face this issue. I suffered captivity for 20 years in two marriages due to my lack of godly skills and inflictions of marital abuse and abandonment placed by others. The Jesus Way equipped me with the skill of obedience to surrender to God and release toxic individuals from my life. The Word says, If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; and say, "Behold, we knew it not;" God knows (proverbs 24:11-12). As an anointed Gatekeeper for the Lord, God has commissioned me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:18).
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Turn In Your Captivity, Ending Abuse in Marriages and Relationships The Jesus Way is foremost written to help women who lack godly skills, as well as those who are in crisis and grieving as a result of spousal abandonment, mental, emotional, spiritual, and physically abusive relationships. But it also addresses these same issues for men. The purpose of these writings is to empower oppressed men and women, and to let them know that God sees the abuse and hears their cries. Its goal is to also open the eyes of abusers to discern that they too are in captivity and teach them how to break from the influences of Satan. These anointed poems and poetic stories are a teaching tool exposing the strategies of abusers to its deepest root; and The Jesus Way of ending their mischiefs confirmed with biblical scriptures. Through The Jesus Way, we learn the skill to put on the whole armor of God to fight against witchcraft, sorcery, gangster and mafia spirits, fear; as well as demonic, evil and unclean spirits that are formed against us. The Jesus Way CRNPF (Confront, Rebuke, Negotiate, Prayer, and Faith) are deep teachings of God for the building of skills needed for spiritual warfare in marriages and relationships. Jesus is The Way...The Truth...and The Life. He is a Wonderful Counselor and His example provides us with concrete answers to all of lifes problems. His death and resurrection made us free from every form of oppression, reinstated our power and authority over Satanic influences, and showed us the way to victorious living.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? The enemy, Satan, tried to kill me to prevent this book from being established in the earth. Most of the poems and poetic stories were written while off work...on medical leave...and in a neck brace for 10 weeks as a result of 4 car accidents which all were no fault of my own. Since God's hand of protection was over my life; Satan tried to get me to destroy myself through influencing my dearest love one...my husband. During this time, my husband drove me to the mall for my eye doctor's appointment and abandoned me there in my neck brace. He then went back home...took what he wanted...including the new van...leaving me to pay the notes alone. But Satan failed in this evil scheme too. Minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, God taught me through The Jesus Way how to gain victory and maintain His defense against my enemies. While still writing the book, God sent me to California for about 2 years, in which He protected me, strengthened me, gave me the gift of discernment, and a true friend, Prophetess Angela Jenkins Newton. Together we are a double-binded cord...the rod of God against the backs of evil. While writing, Turn In Your Captivity, Ending Abuse in Marriages and Relationships The Jesus Way, I felt the fire of God's anointing as He directed the pen and the rhyme. When I thought I was through writing, God would direct me to more He wanted added. He did not allow the book to be finished until He gave me victory in the van being returned unto me. Writing this book brought me into such a deep fellowship with the Trinity (God, the Father; Jesus, the Son; and the Holy Ghost, the Comforter). God has given me dreams and visions, showing me my expected end, which I patiently await.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My influences are the Trinity (God, the Father; Jesus, the Son; and the Holy Ghost, the Comforter).
