Great Music and vocals, I really love MILE AWAY. This was a real diamond in the rough.

Very distinctive sound and a lot of energy in their music. Overall pretty good CD, but not a lot of references to Christ in this album.

The only real clues that Capital Lights are a Christian band are their association with the Tooth & Nail label, Aaron Sprinkle production, and the "thank you" notes on the CD notes. Lyrically there is little outside of Return to suggest overtly Christian themes. That said, the songs are undeniably catchy and well-performed. The use of keyboards adds a degree of sophistication and diversity to the arrangements (especially on Mile Away, co-written with Sprinkle), though on a couple occasions the sequencing of songs highlights some of the tunes' similarity. Bryson Phillips has an excellent pop/rock voice. On the whole, This Is An Outage is not so much a "Christian" CD as it is a CD made by Christians whose music stands up on its own as well in the secular market as it does for those who will gravitate to it by virtue of its Christian pedigree.

This cd is great! I saw this band on tour with Run Kid Run and Hawk Nelson. This cd has songs who can sing along to. The whole cd is great.
