samama5 Stars Out Of 5Great value!January 18, 2013samamaQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a wonderful little book that was a happy surprise for both of my children, ages 3 and 6. The perfect stocking stuffer, it tells the story of Jesus through the common candy cane. It's a thin little soft cover book, so will not likely hold up to very little hands, but the story would be too long for very little children anyway. The story's main characters are a 7 year old girl and her grandpa the candymaker, and the book is perfect for that age level (5-7). Having said that, my 3 year old also enjoyed it, as did all of the adults who were listening.
Tammy Chen3 Stars Out Of 5December 30, 2012Tammy ChenThis is a good example of getting what you pay for. I wish I had spent a few dollars more to get the full size version of the book. Although this book is a good price for someone who wants a nice story to give to their Sunday School class.

I explained to her the reasons but then wanted to get for her a book which also explained it in story format. I purchased this book and she loved it. It was a terrific price and it explained the story perfectly. It is a tiny book - not a large book - but this did not bother her. It was a perfect stocking stuffer.

BOCOvaAge: Over 65Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5This product is misleadingMarch 31, 2011BOCOvaAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I never do surveys but because of the dissappointment of this book I will. I thought it was a regular size softcover but not a tiny booklet. The story is not filled with moral. The book was just someone with a half way descent story that couldnt afford to package it properly.

Tell us a little about yourself. I have written 43 books with major Christian publishers and have written another dozen books which I have self-published for the purpose of giving many books to needy children and adults here in the states and abroad.
What was your motivation behind this project? I discovered how much children were willing to share their faith in handing out a candy cane to someone and telling them the meaning beyond the various elements of the candy cane. This little candy helped children feel at ease in talking about Jesus, and they had fun doing it.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope this booklet will again remind people of the real meaning of Christmas: that our Savior was born for us, lived for us, suffered and died for us, and came alive again for us. He truly is our living SAVIOR.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It was a great joy to work on the story and it has been exciting to see how God has used the book in mission outreach as parents, families, Christian schools and churches have given out thousands of copies of the booklet. Hopefully people will be touched by God's love as they read the story.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My favorite artist is my husband of 43 years. He truly is God's servant as he uses his talents to create picture books that bless families and children. He has spent months on illustrating a book, wanting to make God's Word REAL, not just with cartoon characters.
