I got this book for my wife, who has long appreciated Amy Carmichael, and we were not disappointed. She reads it often and when she finds a passage that's particularly applicable to herself or myself she'll read it aloud and then we'll both sit and think about what was said-and there's definitely food for meditation in there! Anyone who appreciates the writings of Oswald Chambers will find the same depth and clarity of insight in the devotional writings of Amy Carmichael collected in this book.
