    Tell us a little about yourself.  I am the child of a 'saved marriage.' That fact has played a huge part in shaping my life. I am also a songwriter who loves bluegrass music, vintage dresses and finding a great pair of shoes on sale.

    What was your motivation behind this project?  My parents nearly divorced when I was three. Dealing with issues such as alcoholism, drug abuse and infidelity, the odds were seriously stacked against them. But God can change lives and save marriages. My mom and dad both sustained some serious life change, and they reconciled. In the years that followed, they began sharing their story with other struggling couples, many of whom have also reconciled along the way. My mom was so in awe of "the power of a true story" that she began to dream of someday writing a book FULL of "saved marriage" stories. Once I was out of college, the opportunity arose to make the book a reality. As the child of a saved marriage, I had a vested interest in writing such a book. My mom and I teamed up to tell my parents' story, as well as the amazing stories of 21 other couples who reconciled after being faced with even the most impossible of circumstances.

    What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  This book is not intended to preach opinion, teach theology, or pass judgment on divorced people. It is simply a book full of true stories. This book was written in an effort to provide hope for those struggling in their marriages. We have already heard from many people who have been encouraged by the stories of the couples in the book, all of whom have “been there.” In addition to providing hope, the book also refers to more than thirty “marriage-saving” organizations and ministries, which can provide practical help for those who need it.

    How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  While working on this book, I had the opportunity to get to know all of the amazing couples involved. I heard their stories firsthand, and was inspired and challenged on a daily basis. These couples understand the meaning of true love and commitment on a level that most people never reach. I’m not married yet, but I hope to be someday. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to learn critical life lessons from such wise individuals who have truly been refined by fire.

    Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Even if you are not personally struggling in your marriage, chances are, you know someone who is. You may not know what to say to your friend, or how to help them. This book allows you to "hand them hope" in the form of true, encouraging stories. Just by passing along a simple book, you can play a part in changing someone's life.
