Charles Slagle and his wife, Paula, have traveled extensively throughout the United States, Latin America, and the United Kingdom. Through word and song, as well as through the prophetic aspect of their ministry, they lead others into vital relationships with their heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They currently live in Bedford, Texas, with their dog, Missy.
songsparrow3 Stars Out Of 5Glaring error on front cover titleJanuary 10, 2014songsparrowQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4Despite the powerful subject matter of this book, the fact that its author made a grave grammatical error on the front cover title is an immediate distraction from the content. The word 'everyday' is here misused in place of the correct adverb phrase 'every day,' when in fact the compound word 'everyday' is an adjective (a word that is supposed to be used to describe a noun.) This egregious breach distracts from the book's many merits. It is puzzling how such an oversight on the front cover could be allowed by a major publisher.

The book is made up of daily readings representing letters from God. Each letter includes promises from the scriptures with intimate words of personal encouragement, inspiration, and comfort. Every single reading contains a wonderful revelation of God as Father, Abba, or Daddy.
Each day's reading becomes a brief encounter with God the Father, intimate times of worship giving me a sense of connecting with God experiencing his presence in a time of renewal, reflection, and contemplation.
Slagle has profound insight into the mind of God and the realities of the busyness of daily schedules. His writing offers hope, guidance, and promise to readers in every walk of life facing seemingly insurmountable difficulties, hectic lifestyles, family adversity, or impending economic crisis.
Slagle writes from his own experience of intimacy, love, and worship as he unfolds the concept and drama of God the father reaching down to embrace his child as Abba or Daddy.
The eye-catching cover, binding, format, contents, and attractive presentation page add to value of "Abba Calling." In addition to your own reading enjoyment the book is the ideal gift for holidays, graduation, birthdays, or any other gift giving occasion. The daily affirmations of the book also make it especially meaningful for shut-ins or for hospital visitation.

Errected from bible verses which are redone creatively giving encouragement, lessons and tenderness as only a father can talk to his child. Letters talk about for example: comparison, love, aging and laughter and are only but a few of the many qualities and points written about.
I really enjoyed connecting with God through these letters which are designed to be read one a day. This book it seems to me took quite awhile to write as alot of thought and love went into it. I found the overall message to be quite inspiring and I was challenged in my faith. I would recommend this well written book to others. My review is based on the free ebook that was given to me by the publisher.
