5 Stars Out Of 5
October 25, 2013
This book is a three in one book, meaning there are three individual stories. Most books that are like this one have the stories written by different authors, this particular book has all the stories written by one author. The author, Colleen Reece, does a great job of entertaining with intelligent characters and interesting conversations. I was drawn in to the stories from the first page. I also really enjoyed the descriptions of the setting and time period. They were expertly written. I gave this book 5/5 stars. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys Christian historical fiction stories.
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
Lovely chain of romance and Gods miraculous work!!! Even thought these three books are sold separate, together they complete each other and make a great whole story. Starting with a funeral this first book is full of grief and misery and emotional turmoil - a perfect albeit painful beginning of all characters in this collection, with a lot of room for happiness to soak in.
Romance rides the Range
After her mother's funeral Sarah is left alone to suffer the harshness of her stepfather and rudeness of her step-sibilings. She knew she doesn't have another choice but to submit to the circumstances of her lot in life. But after her step-father wants to marry her off to a gamble boat owner as a payment for his dept her desperation runs through the roof and she decides to run to California to her brother- Seth. After she gets there even though under protection of her brother and Mathew and the whole town the danger follows her and she gets kidnapped—by towns felon - Red Felon. I was so mad at the unjustice. The fact that even though Red was forgiven time and again he still didn't change and Gus too. In the second book though - Romance Rides the River—holds a surprise about Red Fellon. This book was the most mischievous one. I loved Dori's antics in Boston. Stubborn - stubborn girl. And Seth was quite a treatment for her back at the ranch. Unlike the first book that describes the dire past of characters this one fills them with live and laughter. The third book - Romance at Rainbow's End --brings back Ellie and Gus and all that family full circle. Poor Gus little did he know that in church while fishing for another poor - trusting soul to get her to raise his children he will meet his match. I respect his new bride for all she did and finally made a respectful man out of Gus. Ellie now grown and very talented singer still fills unworthy of any good man's attention, so when a dashing your preacher arrives at her big birthday party she is trying to avoid him but he is smitten and set to win her over. There is only one problem he has a twin brother who being a talented pianist and a lady's man might still her away with the promise of fame and money out in San Francisco.
Lovely collection, I enjoyed reading it. And even though stories seem predictable there were lots of surprise that were in hold.
Get it, Read it, and enjoy every page of it_
