This book may have a plot that is interesting. But I am not sure the author pick the quotes that are acurate or helpful to readers that are at their teens.

Confuses the 'true love' of God with romantic love
I'm a librarian who bought this book for our church library. Unfortunately, this book was brought to my attention by a teenage girl in our church who suggested that it should NOT be in our church library. I decided to read it for myself. It's a book about a girl, Kate, who's experience with love has left a sour taste. After meeting Caleb, she becomes consumed with overwhelming love for him. The author tries to compare this love with the 'true love' of God. This is very dangerous ground for young teens seeking loving relationships. This book does not encourage teens to look to Christ for fulfillment, but rather towards a romantic love. This one paragraph was particularly disturbing. "The se* issue continues to not be an issue. Caleb has this standard, wanting us to have se* when it's perfect. I think he means when we're married, but I can't even conceive of waiting that long. I'm trying not to think about it, though it's always there. One day I might just seduce him; I can tell he's struggling even more that I am."
It's very easy for teens to read this book and believe that love can overcome anything, even a lapse in morality.

As an older teen girl, I'm always looking for good books that aren't your cliche "boy meets girl, fall in love, kiss at the end" story plots. But often the "real" books don't portray love from a Christian perspective. I really liked this book and how it showed that Caleb and Kate's love was like God's, unconditional. It didn't have any scenes I had to skim over to protect my mind, in fact, it held me captivated. It is beautifully written and I highly suggest it.
