C2: Relapse, DVD

According to executive producer Michael W. Smith, movies can teach us in many ways. Through this original film, he encourages you to think critically about themes from modern life such as grief, love, bioethics, addiction, and other topics in light of God's Word. This DVD includes an introduction from Smith, a 19 minute short film, leader's notes; study guide; and movie extras.

C2 offers three simple steps to being a group leader:

• Critique-Uncover the thematic elements of the film as a group, and guide them through the critical thinking process that can be applied to any film.

A family is faced with the tragedy of losing a child. Grief affects each parent differently as time goes by. The mother has found a unique way to avoid dealing with her grief. She finds herself caught in a vicious cycle, and she must find a way to break the cycle for the sake of everyone in the family including the child.

This small group study will provide discussion points related to addictions, playing God, and dealing properly with grief. The viewers will be encouraged to think critically about the various topics addressed in the original short film.

The small group leader will be provided with the tools to promote discussion and to implement spiritual truths from God’s Word to give answers to questions that may arise from the discussion. Features:

I think the idea of C2 is great!!! Although the film wasn't "out of this world," I really enjoyed it. The story was simple and short enough to be understood, but yet deep enough to create discussion. I encourage others to check it out because there is a lot to learn!!!!!

The Trailer on this looks great.... I cannot wait to see the full length DVD. Should make for a great Small Group Study!!!
