In Bulletproof by Chuck Holton, readers are introduced to how God brought people through almost unbelievable circumstances. Upon this foundation the author begins to build the truths and insight behind these miraculous events.
One of the most basic, but frequently forgotten and misunderstood, principles of faith is the value of the love of God. Love, as Holton explains, is the antidote to many of the emotions present in stressful or even life-threatening events. One of the events described, which took place in a combat zone, richly and profoundly provides us with real, powerful, and peaceful outcomes: when a believer surrenders to God in love, and allows His peace to strengthen his faith.
The author then progresses to reveal more about the true nature of our relationship with God and the necessary steps we need to follow that enable us to receive the blessing and peace God has for each of us. I was touched on many levels by the accounts and principles within the pages of this book. It is a profound, challenging, yet compelling work. -- Dr. Wesley Rose, Christian Book Previews.com

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I grew up in a small, safe town in a functional Christian family. My life was too safe. So I joined the army and made it into the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. After that I flew helicopters in the National Guard while in college. Now I write full time from our farm in Maryland and have six children and a harried wife, believe it or not.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I was disturbed by the rampant fear that I saw affecting Christians around the country. I felt like we should be lighthouses for the terrified in these uncertain times, but wasn't seeing it. So I felt led to write about some giants of the faith and how they handled risk and danger from a biblical perspective. In the process, I found some real concrete ways that the Bible tells us that we can overcome fear in our lives.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I pray this book will encourage readers of all ages to pursue the hard road of God's purpose, and in it find their greatest adventure.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  C.S. Lewis, Randy Alcorn, John Piper, Jeanette Windle, the apostle Paul.
