I have used all sorts of methods/books for teaching spelling to my children. This book promises to be one of my top favorites. I love how it not only teaches the spelling of the words, but also teaches word origin, usage, etc.
My son likes that it is very age appropriate and doesn't "talk down" to him.

I love this series. Spelling is usually so boring, but this series makes it fun. I love that the words are grouped by type to reinforce the particular skill. The fact that the meanings are also emphasized is the greatest. What good is it to be able to spell if you don't know what the word means? The way the lessons are broken down is so intuitive that it makes planning very easy. It is truly a "one-book" curriculum.

I really like this product. There is so much for the kids to do with their spelling words. It isnt just telling them to spell the words, but teaching them different grammar principles with it. The price was also great. I plan on getting another one next year.
