Product Description

What many people perceive as a problem with the Christian church is actually a problem with church leaders. Michael Blue tells readers that not all these problems are imagined, and that trust and integrity issues can be fixed, but not without awareness and commitment to change. Bishop Blue takes readers through a well-developed study of the many ways in which the church has veered away from its original mission, and become a reflection of the culture, rather than the powerful influence Christ intended. Readers will come to understand the responsibility of servant leaders to model personal and professional integrity at every level, thereby, restoring trustworthiness to the church and the cause of Christ.

Editorial Reviews

"This erudite, eloquent, and immensely thought-provoking work gets to the heart of one of the most important aspects of true leadership. It is indispensable reading for all progressive leaders and professionals who want to live life above the norm. This is a profound authoritative work, spanning the wisdom of the ages yet breaking new ground in its approach." (From the Foreword)
Dr. Myles Munroe, Bahamas Faith Ministries International,
International Third World Leaders Association
Nassau, Bahamas

"In a culture where the obvious is often conveniently overlooked, this text takes a refreshing look at age-old principles for leadership and followship. Thoroughly rooted in Scripture and sensibly colored by tradition, this work will prove to be a vital tool in equipping and preparing church and corporate leaders for years to come. Bishop Blue argues with sensitivity and purpose, creating a safe context for discourse on some of the most difficult dimensions of church relationships as it pertains to leadership. This is necessary reading for all who desire to be more effective followers and leaders for the kingdom of God."
Bishop-Elect Eric J. Freeman
Senior Pastor, The Meeting Place Church International,
Columbia, South Carolina

"Secondary leaders are much like thoroughbred stallions, full of strength and power, but able to run aimlessly without guidance or direction. Through this book, Bishop Michael Blue meets that challenge for leadership by constructing the tool equivalent to the pedigree’s bit, which is attached to the bridle, to harness that power and give direction, supervision, and instruction. The application of this concept allows senior leadership consistent forward motion without opposition
from those in the ancillary position."
Pastor Steven Ford
Great Gathering Church, Newark, Delaware
(world renowned musician, composer, and producer)
