I think this is a really AWESOME book.I just love it. I recommend it to everyone. People need to read books like this because there aren't too many good ones out there now. It is good to read Christian books like this one. It has a good combination of action, romance, and suspense.
This was a great book.It was SO GOOD!!Though it wasn't as rich in history as either Pearl Maiden or Lysbeth,it was so enjoyable I hardly even noticed it.This was such a sweet story of gentle love and heroism. The D'Arcy brothers were true knights. They were brave, kind, and honorable, and always knew the right thing to do.They were so devoted to God and each other.I love the way Wulf and Godwin treated each other and Rosamund.Their relationship with Rosamund was so innocent and romantic. What I truly admired about this book was how clean the romance was.I can't stand novels containing so much sensual and unnecessary romance. It's just creepy! But The Brethren is the perfect example of the way a man-and-woman relationship should be.It was so pure and noble. The characters were all very realistic and the story kept me on the edge of my seat.Overall,The Brethren is a touching tale of fair maidens, chivalrous knights, and medieval intrigue.A truly Christian novel.Great work Mr.Haggard and CLP!
Swash-buckling adventure, real-to-life faith and a romance that knows no limits all come to life in Rider's "The Brethren". Gorgeous story. I loved the heroic knights, Godwin and Wolf, and the differences and similarities between them as they both strive to win Rosamunda's hand. Interesting and winding story that is even educational. You can't really top that :-) Though I personally preferred "Pearl Maiden", as at times "The Brethren" was a bit confusing, both were superb novels that I definitely recommend.
