Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories - Member Book by Beth Moore leads you through a study of the Scriptures to discover the transforming power of freedom in Jesus Christ. Themes for this study come from Isaiah, a book about the captivity of God's children, the faithfulness of God, and the road to freedom.
This in-depth women's Bible study draws parallels between the captive Israelites of the Old Testament and New Testament believers in Jesus as the Promised Messiah. Beth looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet's ministry. These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage.
Join Beth Moore on a Bible journey unlike any other. God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, experience His peace, and enjoy His presence. Breaking Free is Beth's life message that she wants to share with you. Taped live at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, this study includes testimonies of how women like you have found freedom and have been delivered from personal captivity.
The Member Book Includes:
- 10 weeks of personal interactive study for five days a week
- 10 Scripture Memory Cards
- Viewer guide for use with the DVD teaching sessions

My husband did not get the workbook, so he is not getting the full extent of what God has to say through Beth Moore. If you get the workbook and set your mind and time to do it, there will be revelation and freedom I promise! This is absolutely wonderful and 100% worth the money!

Laura WheelerLong Beach, CAAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5using the workbook alone--no DVDJanuary 5, 2012Laura WheelerLong Beach, CAAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I have only gone through the first two weeks of lessons but I am enjoying it so far. I bought this with a girlfriend and we are going through it together, not through a church group, so we don't get to see the DVD series that goes with it. But I think we can get a lot out of it anyway because the material in this workbook is really right on in a lot of ways. I am just praying that God will use it to transform us, since you can only be changed so much by a study. God is the one who can truly transform us.
Q: Are any of the first edition member books for "Breaking Free" available to use with the old dvds?
No, older editions of the "Breaking Free Member Books" are no longer available.
Q: Can the leader guide be purchased separately? I have the DVD series, but no leader guide to go with it.
Unfortunately, we do not sell the leaders guide separately.
Q: Can this be done without the DVDs? I am wanting to do a Bible Study in a more informal setting without a DVD. I have done many Beth Moore studies this way, however, I know sometimes (such as with her "Daniel" study) she strongly recommends not doing the study unless you have the DVDs. Is that the case with this study? We just can't afford to buy more than the workbooks right now.
Although the video sessions are an essential part of this study, it is possible to complete most of the study without using the DVDs, you would just have to skip the video session pages.
Q: How is the workbook organized? Does the workbook have lessons to be done each day inbetween watching the DVDs? Does the workbook have lessons to be done each day inbetween watching the DVDs? I guess I'm asking how it it organized.
Yes, the workbook has 10 weeks of daily assignments to be done between the weekly video segments.
Q: I have the old "Breaking Free" audiotapes. Will the new workbook "work" with those?
We do not recommend mixing of editions. You could check the new edition's table of contents to see if the chapters still correspond, but even if they do, there may still be discrepancies.
