Age: Over 65
(This review is from Nancy (John's wife). We both really like to read & we have a thousand+ books in our home and by far this is one of the best (or the best) outside of our Bible! After I read it I told John he HAD to read it, while reading the part about males having departmental brains (John is VERY departmental) he came into the kitchen (I was fixing supper) & he asked me what exacting was I thinking of that minute & I itemized the 6-8 things, he could not believe it--he said 'the book is true'.. This book also REALLY did help me better understand people so I don't get so irritated with their actions. We have given this book to a number of people & will continue. John & I have been married for 47 years and this book has helped us greatly!! Please read it and pass it on!!!
The information was very helpful to me as a newly engaged woman. The science is undeniably clear about our differences, male and female. I really especially enjoyed the creative way the book was written and organized. The authors successfully and entertainingly interwove personal experience with the facts.

Walt & Barb Larimore have done couples and those who counsel them an invaluable tool that is without precedent. Rarely is any new book profound in its scope and impact. This one more than qualifies. Beginning from the physiology of both the male and female brain, they compare and contrast both and move to everyday examples of how this affects differences in mood, communication, information processing, conflict approach and resolution and emotional expression. Abundantly researched and saturated with down-to-earth illustrations, this is a fresh, new, rock-solid resource. This is a publication that is in the rarefied air of 6 star category. The more personalized examples of such differences between the authors themselves is worth the price of the book. God, indeed, "made them male and female." Did He ever!
