Product Description2 Corinthians 2:15 says Christians are called to be "the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved." Drawing on this biblical metaphor of 'the aroma,' Bruce Hamsher has written a book to encourage Christians to develop relationships outside their personal circles so that they can plant seeds which may sprout new Christians. In expanding our friendships, we can have a great effect on the Christian population.

Product ReviewsProduct Q&AAuthor/Artist ReviewAuthor: Bruce Hamsher
Located in: Sugarcreek, Ohio Submitted: May 12, 2008 Tell us a little about yourself. I am a happily married husband and the father of three boys who moonlights as an author and pastor. I love to laugh and keep my priorities straight. What was your motivation behind this project? I started jotting down some of the 'overflow' God was impressing upon me and after a few weeks it started to take the form of a book. I see people sorely lacking the drive and desire to be intentional in personal relationships. We wait until it's too late and then we regret having not taken action. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? To be encouraged to literally live their lives, giving spiritual 'bouquets to the living' instead of waiting until someone's dead to send them the most beautiful bouquet of flowers they've ever sent that person. To become 'certified spiritual florists.' Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Henri Nouwen's book, 'In the Name of Jesus' changed the way I look at my life, my purpose and my world. Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: The farmer who waits around for perfect conditions will never plant the seed. In a spiritual sense, as cultivators of the 'soil' neither will we. Live out your faith right now! Find Related Products |
