Publisher's Description

When people come into your home, what do they see? Have you prepared for their visit? Are your gatherings imbued with the sweet spirit of charity? Whether you're celebrating a joyous occasion with your dearest friends and family, welcoming overnight guests, or comforting someone in need, your home can be a sanctuary of Christian fellowship. Discover the scriptural basis for hospitality through this compilation of menus, each designed to complement life's most important occasions with the people you cherish.

Beautifully photographed and styled, Share the Bounty will inspire you to open your home and reflect God's grace to all who sit at your table. Serve Grilled Chicken & Wild Rice Salad with Coffee Mousse at a casual luncheon for your closest friends. Usher the new neighbors into your dining room for an elegant dinner of Sunday Rib Roast, or greet your out-of-town guests with Blueberry Peach Coffee Cake on their first morning in your home. Broaden your family's understanding of other cultures with Pollo San Miguel, a meal that reflects the flavors of another country. Scattered among the recipes is a selection of Scriptures, prayers, and poetry that will focus your heart on praise and thanksgiving as you prepare to share with others his provision in your home.

Share the Bounty is a beautiful book that would be a wonderful coffee table book. The pictures are amazing and just make this cookbook recipes so inviting. The poetry, scripture and prayers make this more then just a cookbook. They make this book just so much more. While I loved trying some of the recipes already, just reading it from cover to cover was so great. I got this book as a download ebook because I didn't jump at the print version now I wish I had! Do you have a friend or family member that loves cookbooks, or books that are 2 books in one {in this case cookbook along with poetry, scripture and prayer book) then think about picking up a copy for them next birthday or holiday.

Share the Bounty- Finding God's Grace Through the Spirit of Hospitality is a large, beautiful, hardcover book. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed flipping through the gorgeous, full page photographs before I actually sat down to read this lovely book.

The book is filled with lovely encouragement to fulfill the Bible's call to hospitality, verses, quotes, beautiful photographs, and of course recipes.

I did find only a few recipes I would actually use, but that is typical of me from even the very best recipe books. I am excited to try the croissant casserole! I really enjoyed savoring the quotes and the encouragement to practice hospitality!

"It is our desire that in every hospital gesture you will find some measure of hospes renit, Christus venit, when the guest comes, Christ comes". This can be found throughout the Old and New testaments. The patriarch Abraham..sat at his door waiting for visitor, and ran out to greet them. He offered them the finest of his provisions (Genesis 18). The widow of Zarephath's receiving Elijah (1 Kings 17) and the Shunammites response to Elisha (2 Kings 4) provide but a few examples of the precedent that Jesus would continue for His followers to emulate."

I received this book from the publisher through the Booksneeze program in exchange for an honest review.
