Loving the girl in the mirror isn't about changing how you look, but allowing God to change how you see. Teasi Cannon’s lifelong battle with body image nearly destroyed her. Yet today she feels blessed—not because the size of her lower half has changed but because her perspective has. In her often hilarious, no-nonsense style, Teasi's gut-honest journey and transparent insights will propel everyone one of us who struggles with...you name it: bad hair or chubby cheeks, skinny arms or wide hips... to realize our value and beauty. Even if nothing ever changes on the outside.
"Teasi Cannon is essentially a truth-and-grace bomb just looking for a place to detonate—especially for girls who never quite feel like they measure up." —Lisa Harper, author and Women of Faith speaker
"Regardless of what you weigh or the crazy diets you may have tried, My Big Bottom Blessing will set you free from the numbers game to embrace God's beautiful best for your life!" —Constance Rhodes, founder and CEO of FINDINGbalance

We all have areas of ourselves that we despise and wish we could change. Not only wish we could change, but would do ANYTHING to change.
I enjoyed Teasi's style of writing. She uses humor to talk about the topics that are not easy to discuss. Throughout the book she introduces the reader to the 'people' within herself that she would have conversations with...like: Trainer, Reflection, Self-pity, Fat Christian Woman to name a few. I could so relate to these conversation even though I've never struggled with my weight, I have had and still have problems with self-esteem or the "I wonder what that person thinks of me" syndrome. But the only opinion I should care about is my heavenly Father! And He loves me...so much He sent His Son for me.
THAT, my friend, is the reason for this book. It challenges us to look at ourselves through the eyes of Jesus....really the rest doesn't matter.

This book takes it a step further, offering an honest look at one woman's struggles with weight and body image. But rather than just "thinking positive," she became deeply aware of God's love for her. Knowing she was God's beloved made it possible for her to love herself.
If you look in the mirror and feel a sense of defeat, or worse, self-loathing—you need this book. If you seem to find yourself in daily conversation with inner critics, who get really noisy whenever you think about your body—you really need this book.
Teasi Cannon writes candidly, with both honesty and humor, about her own journey toward self-acceptance, which only came when she embraced God's acceptance.
