To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

About 90% of our life is just being ordinary and doing daily life. Boring - but does it have to be?
Maybe you've read some of those books about "Doing Great Things for God!" But you're still working at the office or changing those diapers.
Kelley asks, What if God wants you to find meaning and significance in your ordinary life? What if you could see the divine fingerprint in every situation of your daily life?
That is exactly what Kelley helps us see. He is convinced that it is actually in the ordinary details of life that we get to see and experience God and His redemptive plan. This book is full of practical ideas for getting that vision. He writes about having a quiet time (again), really interacting with other people, gospel living in marriage, parenting with intentionality and purpose, leaving a margin in our money, and restoring a sense of the divine in our work.
Here is an example of his insight - this on relationships.
"We don't need a bunch of new and exciting relationships, not if we believe in the abiding presence and work of God. We need instead to lay the grid of faith over the top of these ordinary interactions we have day to day. We need to buy the coffee in faith. We need to walk in the grocery store in faith. We need to take the phone call in faith. And if we do, we'll begin to see the extraordinary invading the ordinary." (92)
Kelley's goal is "not escaping the ordinary, but reshaping our view of the ordinary in light of the extraordinary God." (194) So, if you've set aside those books about "Doing Great Things for God" yet want to know how to live your ordinary life with meaning, this is the book for you. You won't have to sell all you possess and go to the mission field. You'll just find God's presence and plan in every moment of your ordinary life.
Jeff NobleBlacksburg, VAAge: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Anything but...September 18, 2013Jeff NobleBlacksburg, VAAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I can easily recommend this book to.. well, anyone who lives in a consumer culture like ours. It's a refreshing call to simplicity, joy and significance in the middle of what we all normally do. If you've ever found yourself bored and wanting out of something because of its mindless repetition, this book is for you. Spouse, are you getting bored with your marriage? There's a chapter here that will renew and revive your relationship. Are you neglecting to notice people around you because of your hectic schedule? Read the chapter Shooting the Breeze, and you'll be reminded how all people are created on the image of God. No one is boring. Is your attitude toward money such that you simply spend it on yourself some and pay the bills? Get out of that boring perspective and discover more that you can do with your finances through faith.
"We find ourselves bored in life not because of the absence of the extraordinary, but because of our paralyzing lack of vision."
This book will help you have a new, improved life - not by acquiring more or changing your circumstances - but by transforming your perspective. This is no lightweight book. Michael addresses some significant issues - about our marriages, our kids, our selfishness and queasiness to be faithful in the mundane. Boring is a bomb of truth for our Christian subculture that wants to do something out of the ordinary but that does it without the calling or presence of God.
As a disclaimer, Michael sent me a copy of the book for preview, but I'm so glad he did. Highly recommend!
