Product DescriptionWhat if you were losing your most treasured memories? Of your wife who passed away, of your dad who died far too young? What if you heard of a book whaere all of those memories are recorded and you could get them back? And what if this book also told your future? Would you believe it? Would you go on a desperate search for it, holding onto a strand of hope it would bring healing and answer all your questions?
Young Cameron Vaux's mind is slipping. Memories of his wife, killed two years earlier in a car accident, are vanishing just as his late father predicted they would. Memories he knows are critical to remember. But his only hope for answers, and a cure, seems to lie in search for a book--and a God--he doesn't believe in. Product Information

Memories of his wife, killed two years earlier in a car accident, are vanishing just as his dad predicted they would. Memories he knows he has to remember. His father tells Cameron that to save his mind he must find "the book with all days in it" —the past and future record of every soul on earth. When an obscure clue leads Cameron to a small central Oregon town, he meets enigmatic Taylor Stone, a possible guide to finding the book who seems to carry secrets far deeper than anyone imagines. Local hotshot TV personality Ann Bannister thinks the legend of the book is a farce, but she has her reasons to join Cameron’s search anyway. Finally, there is fanatical New Age guru Jason Judah, who will stop at nothing to find the book of days before Cameron does. Author Bio James L. Rubart is a professional marketer, speaker, and writer. He serves on the board of the Northwest Christian Writers Association and lives with his wife and sons in Seattle, Washington.
Publisher's WeeklyIn this supernaturally tinged suspense novel, Rubart (Rooms) crafts a credible legend: a "book of days" contains the past and future, and Cameron Vaux needs to find it. He's only 33, but his father, who died at 59 of dementia, instructed Cameron to find the book. Cameron's late wife, Jessie, who died in a small plane accident, also knew about the book. And now Cameron's own memory is slipping, lending urgency to his quest. He's joined in the hunt by Jessie's foster sister, Ann Banister, a TV adventure show host who's interested in finding out more about her family. The answers for both lie in Three Peaks, a scenic small town in central Oregon that's also headquarters for a New Age group headed by the commanding Jason Judah. Cameron and Ann come off as engaging and well-developed characters, but the constraints of Christian fiction make the New Age guru more caricature than character. Within those constraints, Rubart has created a page-turner. (Jan.) Copyright 2010 Reed Business Information.
