From our earliest days on, we learn to "forgive and forget". But what happens when we can't seem to forgive or forget? Then it's time to unlease the power of "Bold Love". In Bold Love, Drs. Allender and Longman draw out the aggressive, unrelenting passionate power of genuine love. Far from helping you "get along" with others, Bold Love introduces the outlandish possibility of making a significant and life-changing impact on family, friends, coworkers, even your enemies. Paperback.
Weve come to view love as being "nice"--yet the kind of love modeled by Jesus Christ has nothing to do with manners or unconditional acceptance. Rather, it is shrewd. Disruptive. Courageous. And, as a result, socially unacceptable.
In Bold Love , Dr. Dan Allender and Dr. Tremper Longman III draw out the aggressive, unrelenting, passionate power of genuine love. Far from helping you get along with others, Bold Love introduces the outlandish possibility of making a significant, life-changing impact on family, friends, coworkers--even your enemies.

Excellent book, definitely a two time read, meaning it can't be taken in, in one read.

Highly, highly recommend this book.

A strong, sound, interesting, insightful and wise book. Takes the offended to the place of wanting to seek restoration without accepting more transgressions by combining boundaries with the giving of good (and appropriate) "gifts" to the offender whether they are "inclined to evil", a "normal sinner" or "a fool". Take time to read this one, pick it up, put it down, think it through, apply it, pick it up again.

This is the most highlighted and underlined book I own. Allender writes with revelatory insight that pierces every excuse for why we can not or do not love another. I re-read it regularly, and highly recommend it (without reservation) to all who are seeking help in loving even the most challenging individual. It is a brave and courageous call to the weary and weak and battle-worn.
