Blind dates give everyone the shivers, with or without a murder attached to them. When Jo Tulip's date excuses himself in the middle of dinner to get something from his car and then doesn't return, Jo is first confused and then mad. Leaving the restaurant, she finds a crowd gathered around the man she had met for the first time earlier in the evening now lying lifeless in the parking lot. Who was he really and what happened to him?

I enjoyed Blind Dates Can Be Murder just as much as the 1st one in the series. It was cleverly written and highly entertaining.

Once again Mindy Starns Clark has written a winner. I absolutely adore Jo, she is one of the best recent female characters I have read. Just like in Trouble With Tulip, you can find household hints sprinkled throughout the book (now in email format!) and which also help to solve the mystery. I'm really glad that Danny was able to talk to Jo, now the ball's in her court. It'll be interesting to see how all that happens. I found the blind dating service to be very interesting since I have never used one before. I was really chilled and frightened while reading this book. Especially near the end, I couldn't put the book down because I feared so much for Jo. It was totally like watching a movie: mystery, action, romance, suspense, drama, characters you hate- such a well developed story line. Actually I really think they should make this series into a TV show, you could learn household tips and be entertained at the same time. Sort of Heloise meets Alias type of deal. This was such an excellent book, I thought it was even better than the first one in the series. And with the cliffhanger at the end of this book, I can't wait to get started on the third which is in my TBR pile. VERY highly recommended.

This is such a great book! I could not put it down...I read it in 2 days! I love how the author gradually puts the pieces of the puzzle together to solve the murder. It was lots of fun to read and had lots of fun, cute little facts in it, too! If you like happy, can't-put-down books, then it is definitely for you!

I have never been disappointed by a Mindy Starnes Clark novel, and the trend continues with Blind Dates Can Be Murder. Only Jo Tulip can go on a blind date and have the hilarious/tragic catastrophe happen to her. Will she ever find true love? Will Danny ever stop being a chicken? Who is behind the blind date debaucle? Well, you'll just have to read it to find out. Have fun with Tulip...that oughtta be a title in this wonderful mystery series!!

Mindy Starns Clark's Blind Dates Can Be Murder involves all three, but written in a humorous fashion that entertains on every page. I couldn't put it down. Jo Tulip and her Danny are real characters in every sense of the word. Their faith is very real to both of them, but it is not pushed in the reader's face. This was the first book of Clark's I've read - I'm now going back for more and can hardly wait for the third book in the "A Smart Chick Mystery Series!"
