Product DescriptionHave you ever had to wait for something? Have you ever been in an airplane that was placed in a "holding pattern" in the sky? Holding patterns for aircraft arise when conditions are not favorable for them to land safely on the ground. These aircrafts must remain in the sky, waiting, until the control tower indicates that conditions are safe for them to land. Holding patterns, a term used throughout this book, is used to describe times of waiting in our lives.
Did you know that God orchestrates some of the holding patterns that we encounter? How should we respond to God's holding patterns? Located in: Valdosta, Georgia Submitted: March 23, 2007 Tell us a little about yourself. My husband and I have been married since 1979. We have nurtured three children, one daughter-in- law, and one godchild. In church, I minister alongside my husband, Lenon, in a Christian Couples Class. I also teach Bible Study at a local nursing home; ministers to youth, young adults, and women groups; conducts workshops; volunteers as an elementary school mentor; member of various prayer groups; taught Sunday School for over seven years and Bible Study at a women's recovering home for over 2 years. Milestone: Survived over 20 years of the rigorous life that many military dependent wives encounter! Passion: Praying, studying, and teaching God's Word! Life's Motto: Living to give! What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation is as God stated in Matthew 28:18- 20; evangelism! Writing books opened doors and allows me to reach and teach Biblical principles to people near and far. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I am hoping that readers will learn the importance of waiting on God as well as "how" to wait on God. Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My greatest influence continues to be my mother. She was a great woman of God. Some of my favorite artists are: Luther Barnes, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Babbie Mason, Bebe and Cece Winans, and so many others! I also enjoy the radio ministry of Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah. Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Much! But for now, be encouraged for only God knows the thoughts and the plans that He has for you (Jeremiah 29:11-13). You will tap into those plans, when you obey God. For most of us, that means, we must learn to WAIT ON GOD! Find Related Products |
