Tell us a little about yourself. I am a homeschool graduate, avid historian, and daughter of the King! When not writing or doing endless research for my books, I enjoy teaching music, playing the piano for church, and serving my family.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivations were wide. Mainly, I wanted to create a family-friendly (yet exciting) book about the Middle Ages. I also wanted to portray the Middle Ages as it really was, particularly by staying clear of unhistorical aspects such as sorcery.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope readers everywhere will be inspired by the tale of a young man who took a strong stand for honor and made a difference in his era. I furthermore hope that my love for history shines through the pages and instills a similar love in each reader.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I've learned to put my faith entirely in God. He brought me through this project and He continues to take me places I've never dreamed of.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My greatest influences were probably the works of Henty, Haggard, Alcott, and Kingsley. Music was also a vital part of writing my manuscript.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: We serve an awesome God!
