Don't know why it was only $1.00 because it's a great read! Not only do you get a sense of the author's trip, but you get in on some wonderful stories of divine appointments.

Marvin5 Stars Out Of 5Great book about a cross country bike tripMarch 16, 2015MarvinThe author told his story in such a way that you felt you were riding along with him----even if you are nothing more than a casual cyclist. The times that he weaves the Gospel message into his story are creative and shared from the heart. I bought a copy of the book for my son, who is a serious bike enthusiast!
nonnamaryville, tnAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Road trip across AmericaFebruary 22, 2015nonnamaryville, tnAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5In his first book, Hiking Through, Paul Stutzman relates his adventures hiking the Appalachian Trail after the death of his wife. After this accomplishment, he decided to ride his bicycle across America.
His trip started at Neah Bay, Washington. His destination was Key West, Florida5,000 miles away. For most of the trip, he rode alone. Occasionally, he would meet other cyclists and enjoyed riding with them. Riding alone in the dark of night gave him a feeling of sadness and loneliness. When daylight broke, he saw the beautiful scenery and realized most of his worries never materialized.
Along the way, he received assistance from strangers. Sometimes he was the one who helped someone else in need. He trusted God to keep him safe as he traveled through 13 states. He said that anyone who thinks following God is boring and restrictive is missing out. Life is a great adventure.
I'm not a bicyclist, so I wasn't sure if this book would be interesting to me, but I really enjoyed reading of his adventures, his thoughts, and his interactions with all the people he met.
