Publisher's Description

After Paul Stutzman finished hiking the Appalachian Trail, he found himself longing for another challenge, another adventure. Trading his hiking boots for a bicycle, Paul set off to discover more of America. Starting at Neah Bay, Washington, and ending at Key West, Florida, Paul traversed the 5,000-mile distance between the two farthest points in the contiguous United States. Along the way he encountered nearly every kind of terrain and weather the country had to offer--as well as hundreds of fascinating people whose stories readers will love. Through cold and heat, loneliness and exhaustion, abundance and kindness, Paul pedaled on. His reward--and the readers'--is a glimpse of a noble yet humble America that still exists and inspires.

Anyone who longs for adventure, who loves travel and stories of travel, and who loves this place called America will enjoy this book.

My sister in Pleasantville, Tennessee sent this book to me in Wisconsin. When I read of the little hotel in Linden, Tennessee, I laughed out loud as I have stayed there in that itty bitty town when visiting my sis. In any event, I'm going to order a dozen copies as a gift to that inn. I biked 120 miles in one day (never to be repeated, I might add) so you really need to bike to appreciate the author's journey.

Because I've done some long bicycle trips across Oklahoma, I thought this would be a fun book to read. Don't know why it was only $1.00 because it's a great read! Not only do you get a sense of the author's trip, but you get in on some wonderful stories of divine appointments.

The author told his story in such a way that you felt you were riding along with him----even if you are nothing more than a casual cyclist. The times that he weaves the Gospel message into his story are creative and shared from the heart. I bought a copy of the book for my son, who is a serious bike enthusiast!
