excellent
Here you have (finally) the whole Bible, in the original languages, together in a single volume. And the best up-to-date critical editions, no less. Everything about this is fantastic except, as has been mentioned by another reviewer, the durability of the binding and the incredibly not-inconspicuous cover (and why is title in Latin?) which makes it a little unseemly for carrying around in public and/or to church without feeling like a snob. I am sending mine off to a bindery to have a simple/plain/durable library binding put on it, since I plan to use it heavily for many years.
For someone able to or interested in reading the Bible in the original languages (and may I suggest this should be a goal of many, if not most Christians at some level), this is far and away the best edition I have ever seen.

This Bible really thrilled me! It may not do you much good if you don't know Greek or Hebrew, but either way, it's really neat to see the books of the Bible comprised the way they used to be. You can see things that are lost in translations; for example, in Psalms 119, each sentence in each paragraph starts with the same Hebrew letter, and the paragraphs are arranged in Hebrew alphabetical order. But here's what I really like: Greek reads from left-to-right, while Hebrew reads from right-to-left (with the binding typically on the right side of the book). So when you open this Bible, you find the Greek New Testament up front, but if you flip the book over (with the binding to the right), you find the Hebrew Old Testament! I thought that was really brilliant of the publisher.

If I could only have one volume for the rest of my life...I LOVE THIS BIBLE. My only "complaint" is that, being a hardcover, the binding has not lasted as well as a leather-bound version would have. (Mine is held together with duct tape, rubber bands, and love!) However, not even being available in a leather-bound edition, the more who purchase this...maybe, just maybe one day we will be blessed with a leather-bound edition!BE ADVISED: not an interlinear! This delicious volume will inspire you to diligently dig deeply into the word "...which is able to save your soul..."

This one volume work allows you to teach and preach from the original languages without having to carry around multi-volumes. I have been teaching Hebrew and Greek classes for the last seven years and have found the text to be clear and quite readable. I highly recommend it if you want to stay up on your languages.
