Ms. Bodmer is an accomplished speaker and writer on the subject of family and marriage. She is best known for her book When Love Dies: How to Save a Hopeless Marriage. I did not expect to become fully engaged with this book because Im past the time of rearing children. But because of the interesting and straightforward way the information is presented, and the fact that the book isnt just about child-rearing but speaks to women at all stages and all circumstances of their lives, it spoke to me at exactly the place in life I find myself now.
I wish this book had been written when I was bringing up my children, but Im glad I at least had the opportunity to read it now. It is contemporary, pragmatic, well-organized, anecdotal, and encouraging. I highly recommend it. -- Sandra Herman, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
