Very slow read, makes doctrine that isn't doctrine
April 27, 2013
This book was a pretty big let down. Very difficult to read, and what I mean by that is the writing style that is used. I was in pre-med for 2 years and am used to reading big books, but this book was just confusing sometimes and the clarity lacks as a result of the weird style of language and writing used.
Book briefly says in 2 quick statements, without explanation, clarification, or correct context, that you can lose your salvation, but says that when we are saved that we are born again. So we can be born again, and again, and again, and.... oh... again?
Also tries to make doctrine that every time someone is baptized in the holy spirit that he/she speaks in tongues. Nowhere in the bible is this stated so how can you make this doctrine. It uses the 'if it happens these times then it must happen every time' instance which is poor because if God wanted us to know that when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit that we would speak in tongues 100% of the time he would clearly let us know.
