I bought this without noticing the links to listen to the track samples. :( It's much more upbeat than I was looking for. Nice enough music, but it wasn't the "modern hymns" concept I was looking for. Be sure to listen first!

Wow!!! When I listen to this CD, my spirit just overflows with praise to the Lord! The worship songs are so full of heart, and so well sung By Matt and Beth. This is a super worship album!!!

I really enjoyed classic type worship music set to modern tempo. They sing In Christ Alone with heart! Great CD.

This is a very pleasant CD to listen to. The contemporary renditions of these hymns were very soothing without being boring. The drums in a few of the songs really gave them new energy. Hopefully more works like this will be done so a new generation can experience the beauty of some of these old hymns. Bethany Dillon has a beautiful voice, but I found I favored the male vocals on this CD much more.

What a beautiful collection of songs. I would recommend this cd to just about anyone. You don't have to know who Sanctus Real and Bethany Dillon are to like these hymns. The music gives fresh, new life to these old beloved hymns for the next generation. I'm so glad that they put this collection together.
