Great book (as always from C.S. Lewis!) and great price for four books in one!

great book
especially like the Readings for the Year section in the back. It provides a short story for every day of the year. C.S.Lewis was a great Christian thinker!

Essential collection of Lewis's works
The Beloved Works of C.S. Lewis contains:ÃÂ
Surprised by Joy,ÃÂ
Reflections on the Psalms,
The Four Loves,
and The Business of Heaven.
Surprised by Joy is Lewis's autobiography of his conversion to Christianity and a detailed account of his early life.
Reflections on the Psalms is a very interesting look at the Psalms and their meanings.ÃÂ
The Four Loves explains the four Greek loves of: Storge, (affection) ÃÂ Philia, (friendship) Eros, (romance) and Agape love. (unconditional love)ÃÂ
The Business of Heaven is a wonderful compilation of selections from Lewis's works. Walter Hooper (Lewis's secretary) compiled the selections to be read and correspond to every day of the Christian calendar year with the Christian holidays. At the end there is an index of every book the selections were taken from and what day they are on.ÃÂ
Overall, these four books, conveniently in one, are an essential to every Christian's library. I highly recommend them

Nicely bound antholgy of a brilliant author
Surprised by Joy is CS Lewis' autobiography, including his conversion story. Reflections on the Psalms is not a commentary, but a brilliant and reverent discussion of issues in different categories of the Psalms. Unfortunately, Appendix 2 is like an index, but refers to page numbers in a different edition. The Four Loves are affection, friendship, erotic love and the love of God. This is an excellent balanced treatment. The Business of Heaven contains daily meditations for the year, compiled from Lewis' writings.
