Very well done commentary. Sound and practical, easy to understand and does not avoid controversy. Gives reasonable and rational interpretations of difficult passages.If you are investing in a single volume commentary, Buy this!

I purchased this book as a Christmas present for my husband, however after studying my sunday school lesson, and using the Believer's Bible Commentary...I will buy my husband something else for Christmas.

Great commentary. Easy to read, solid scholarship. The author has a knack for making difficult passages/issues clear and concise. Would be a great gift for a new believer as well as a welcomed reference resource for the serious Bible student.

My husband was greatly impressed with this commentary. He said it was the best that he has ever used. Good not only for the seasoned Christian, but written in language that the new believer can understand.

i think when i use a commentary that the authour should fully believe what he id writting about. brother mcdonald is one of these authors and i love the research that he has done and the boldness that comes out of this book i highly recommend this book for your libaray

I ordered the Believer's Bible Commentary at the suggestion of a pastor/friend. I wanted something that I could understand. I've only been studying the book of John so far, but really love the verse-by-verse style of the commentary and have already marked it up and down with my own reflections and impressions! I would highly recommend this Bible study tool and have purchased one for each of my kids for Christmas!
