Every pastor experiences feelings of inadequacy or loneliness at some time in ministry. Serving others and serving God is not an easy task. Warren Wiersbe, the "pastor's pastor," knows the struggles and triumphs a life of service brings.
On Being a Servant of God invites you to listen in on thirty short "armchair chats." With candor and sensitivity, Wiersbe shares what he wishes he had known about ministering to others when he began his own Christian pilgrimage. Let his years of experience and wise counsel bring comfort to your soul and energy to your tasks.

I have read and re-read this book and have given it away to several people including my own family. It is a "must-read" for all servants of the Lord. Because of his experience, Warren Wiersbe knows what he's talking about!

Just finished reading this edition. What a fantastic tool, Mr. Wiersbe covered so many areas that each servant deals, battles and thrives with. This is a must-read for any man or woman engaged in the Lord's work, no matter what it is.

This book is highly recommended for all those who are ”servants” (average christians) and ”Servants” (pastors, teachers etc.). Its chapters can be read one each day giving enough subjects to meditate on. You will find here things which can not be found in a formal curriculum in seminary. I have been studying at a theological seminary, yet the things that Warren Wiersbe shares here are so practical and so eye-opening for a new minister as i am. Dr. Wiersbe writes deep things in simple and memorable phrases and he uses small chapters for this! Highly recommended!I am deeply satisfied with it!

I highly recommend this book and have given over 20 copies to pastors, deacons, teachers and missionaries that I work with. Everyone in ministry (that should be all of us!), should read this book.
