Is Something Missing in Your Life? Lysa TerKeurst knows what its like to consider God just another thing on her to-do list. For years she went through the motions of a Christian life: Go to church. Pray. Be nice. Longing for a deeper connection between what she knew in her head and her everyday reality, she wanted to personally experience Gods presence. Drawing from her own remarkable story of step-by-step faith, Lysa invites you to uncover the spiritually exciting life we all yearn for. With her trademark wit and spiritual wisdom, Lysa will help you : * Learn how to make a Bible passage come alive in your own devotion time. * Replace doubt, regret, and envy with truth, confidence, and praise. * Stop the unhealthy cycles of striving and truly learn to love who you are and what youve been given. * Discover how to have inner peace and security in any situation * Sense God responding to your prayers The adventure God has in store for your life just might blow you away.
Lysa TerKeurst is the New York Times bestselling author of The Best Yes. Jill JonesOpelika, ALAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Are you a good Bible Study girl?December 2, 2012Jill JonesOpelika, ALAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We can be good Bible study girls and still not be living out the truths we are studying. Why? Because it's easy to study but often difficult to apply the hard truths to our life that God serves up in the Scriptures. In "Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl," Lysa Terkeurst offers a solution to the endless studying without application. It won't be easy and will involve looking deep inside yourself for the reasons we act the way we do and the desire to turn away from our flesh.
If you are yearning for a deeper relationship and adventure with Christ, read Lysa's book and let her openness and honesty transform your Bible study. Let her walk you through trying to be good enough, making your devotions more exciting, ridding yourself of envy, dealing with your struggles, learning to be yourself and finding God in unlikely places.
As a final send-off, Lysa challenges readers to pray dangerous prayers—those prayers that force you to put yourself and your desires, prejudices and feelings aside and open yourself up to God's heart, mind and will.
