This book was given to women at a Womans Shelter along with a trip to the hairdresser. It was a an easy read with a great message to help them restore their inner beauty.

I purchased this book for my granddaughter upon recommendation by Dr. Travis Plumlee, Christian counselor and minister. I began to read a few pages to check out the content and could not put it down. I recommend this book for people of all genders and ages. It not only made me see myself more clearly, I am able to see what God sees in others as well. It is a "gotta read".

This book is written for teenage girls, yet here I am near 60 and I gained much from reading it. For me it was a reminder to find my self-worth from the God Who created me and not from what I can do. Also I was reminded how foolish it is to compare yourself to others. The prayers in the book are what I liked best. They are beautiful heartfelt prayers.

"Beauty By The Book" is a surprisingly insightful book by Nancy Stafford of "Matlock" fame. This life-changing read is loaded with scripture to memorize, encouraging stories, and absolute truth as to why we are so obsessed with physical beauty. Nancy tells it like it is from an experienced viewpoint from both sides of the fence. I thank God that I picked this book up on a whim. It has helped me see myself through His eyes.

I had just lost my wife to lung cancer and pneumonia this past July 2007. I have read many books on grief and grieving. They have helped me through this time of my life. However I have read the two books by Ms. Stafford and am amazed at the comfort I have received from them. I have already recommended them to those in my grief classes and to my family and friends. Good going Nancy.
