Let's be honest, I don't believe that everyone in your life needs to know all the gory details of your life, but every woman needs at least one good girlfriend that she can share her deepest darkest secrets with. Some of us however, have been living with our hurts for so long that we don't have a clue as to how to give them up. This book talks about how to share our hurts, our scars, and why we need to share them with other women. It helps us gain the courage to open the cage of guilt that we have been living in and accept the forgiveness that God offers us because of the blood of Jesus Christ.

I admit, it was a very difficult book for me to get through because of all the personal stories the author presents, but I am so glad that I took the time for this book. This is a must read of all women.

I started reading this book after reading Dr. Jantz book on healing from emotional abuse. The pair go well together . After you reconize and begin to deal with the scars you need a healing process. Ihadn't planned on. Dealing with such heavy subjects this early in the new year. But God .

This book has changed my life. I had been drawing closer to God for some time, but now there was work to do to go further. God gave me this book through a friend and it has become my favorite book, second only to the Bible. I savored every word and the Study guide helped me to understand why we go through things and how God uses it for his glory. We can keep making the wound bleed, or let it heal into a beautiful scar to show others what God has done in our lives. I see the purpose of my pain and now he will be able to use it. A very important chapter to me was 6 which included a step-by-step way to forgive. I was able to forgive my dad, the people who killed my sisters and many, many more. Thank you God for using Sharon to bring this book into my life. Thank you for the joy the healing has brought my soul.

Our ladies group at church did a book study using this book and it was wonderful! It really helps you put hurts and pain from the past behind you and move forward for Christ. She includes many real life stories in which everyone can relate to. I highly recommend this book.
