The necklace doesn't lay flat - and tended to fray at the end (probably good idea to use tape). We ended up allowing kids to just put beads on the necklace - which they liked. The necklace doesn't say tied too well - make sure it is tight. We still thought was good value and were pleased with our necklaces but weren't the crosses we initially thought.
the cord is thick & needs 2 b cut into individual lenghts.we had 2 put a sm piece of scotch tape on the ends 2 make it like a shoestring.not alot of colored beads.they turned out cute but large,2&1/2x2.i put a drop of glue on the 4 center beads 2 hold the shape.:)
The description was misleading for me. "You'll find individually packaged pendant projects in assorted colors, and instructions." I expected I would be getting 12 little bags in the package, each with: a chord, all beads needed for one necklace, and instructions. (I wanted these for our Awana store.) However, all 12 chords were bundled together, and there were four little bags of different types of beads. Only one set of instructions was included. This package is put together well if several children are sitting around the same table to put these together, but not if you're planning to give them away individually.
This was a much more complex project than we anticipated. There were adults that could not get the cord back through the beads as they followed the directions. I would say the kids should be 10 or older.
