Eldridge gets right to the heart in this one--and yet even though it's so convicting it's also very encouraging. I love the work book questions and there were several times through the book that her insights made me cry and pray. I would encourage other woman to read this even if they think they are in a solid place. There are some things, due to our culture, that we don't even think about. But as Eldridge explains in the book as Christian women we are called to higher standards, and this isn't a book of rules and shame...it's a book of encouragement and hope.
This book covers the core subject matter very well

The core subject of this book-sexual and emotional integrity-was covered very well. I'm glad that Shannon Ethridge has stepped out to address this topic so wholeheartedly. Apart from a couple of minor points that I thought lacked clear and accurate Scriptural support, I was satisfied with the overall study and would recommend it to other women struggling with the issues she addresses.
I chose to review Every Woman's Battle by Shannon Ethridge because I had heard a lot about it and I like the author.
I appreciate Shannon's honesty with her books, especially in this one. She doesn't beat around the bush she just gets straight to the point, which I like. This book covers sexual desires that women think about and while most people don't agree that just thinking emotionally about other men is adultery, it really does have an impact on who you are as a person and your relationship. That is probably the biggest thing I got from reading this book, how the mind is extremely powerful.
Shannon talks about how you may not cheat on your husband or boyfriend or whoever physically but you are mentally and emotionally. I really enjoyed her perspective and the different verses she includes to back up what God thinks on these issues. Married or not, any woman could read this book and walk away with something new to think about.
"I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review."
