This is an integrated approach that makes learning Greek a natural process and helps students see from the beginning how understanding Greek will help them understand the New Testament. Numerous changes have been made as a result of feedback from professors. For example, a chapter on clauses has been added at the end of the book. The CD-ROM is now easier to use and contains even more information. The workbook has been significantly rewritten.
The CD-ROM with helpful interactive aids such as poems, songs, diagrams, mnemonic devices, and other vocabulary-building tools is now even better. It is easier to navigate and now includes short audio summary lectures (7-9 minutes) for every chapter. Students will come to class more prepared when they listen to the summary lectures ahead of time.
Features:
- Predicate nominatives are moved out of Chapter 6 to Chapter 8
- Chapter 9 (Adjectives) is changed so it is in greater alignment with Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics
- Third declension (from chapter 10) is now in Chapter 11
- Chapter 20 in Verbal Roots has been simplified
- Some of the footnoted material has been moved into the text
The best-selling and most widely accepted New Testament Greek textbook has just gotten better. The author has made the book more user-friendly and offers options to professors, particularly enabling them to introduce Greek verbs earlier as well as offering some made-up sentences to challenge the students.

There is nothing much that I can add to the long list of accolades that Mounce has already received in his pedagogical approach to learning the basics of Greek grammar. This is possibly one of "the" best books for beginners and even intermediate learners of the Koine Greek language.

This is good. Learning Greek is not as hard as it looks!! I am over 40 learning it for the first time and I like it. I bought it for myself, not for my children but I will let them borrow it if they so desire.

I got my book a couple of weeks ago. I am currently on Chapter 6 and I find these resources amazing. The technique used is easy to follow, even if studying alone. The tools on the CD-ROM are wonderful and very helpful. The lectures make you feel like you're not studying alone and give you a little boost of confidence. The Parseworks tool is great! I also purchased the workbook, the vocabulary CD, and the vocabulary flashcards... all very helpful.

If you want to know what the biblical writers really said, you need to know the Koine Greek, and parts of speech, not what the translators gave us!

Great product, accompanied by workbook, CD with lectures and exercises, and flash cards. As you learn Greek you are actively using the language within the New Testament Scriptures, applying what you are learning. Very practical.

Although I have only had the book a few weeks, Professor Mounce is an excellent instructor. I am studying Greek to get a better grasp of the true meaning of the words. if I was taking his course as part of my curriculum, it would be an honor to sit in his class. he has a great sense of humor! I would recommend his book to anybody who is serious about learning Greek for their Bible studies.
