Baby's Little Bible - Blue
Wonderful Little Bible
My Thoughts on this little Bible!
BabyâÂÂs Little Bible, by Sarah Toulmin
I love Bibles of all kinds, and what a special little Bible to give as a give to a newborn! Because then is when we should start teaching our children about God.
In this Bible, the author chose some of the more known Bible stories for little ones. Some of those include: Creation; Noah and the Flood; David and Goliath; Jonah and the Whale; Daniel and the LionâÂÂs Den; Jesus Feeding the Five Thousand; Jesus Calming the Storm; Jesusâ Death and Resurrection, plus a number of others.
The stories are very simple, and they do leave out important facts, but I think what the author is doing here is being as simple as possible for the young reader. When I am reading stories that are simplified like this, I always add what I think the child can understand, in a way they can understand.
The cover is very pretty, looks like something newborn. I recommend this book for your small child and encourage you to get a copy and start reading to your child as soon as they are born.

Baby's Little Bible is the perfect size for reading while in your lap while holding a squirmy baby. It has a padded cover, cheerful illustrations, and classic Bible stories told in simple language. Sometimes I am disappointed in Bible storybooks aimed at this age group, but this book looks like it will hold up well and be enjoyed by both the young children and the adults reading it to them. I think this would be a great gift for a newborn or a Baptism.

Good Book to teach the good book to the little one
As most readers of this blog know, I am a father of an 18 month old, and we have another little baby on the way. So when the opportunity came to pick up this Baby's Little Bible for my little ones, I jumped at the opportunity.
Baby's Little Bible is a collection of bible stories for small children. There are a total of 20 stories. Nine of the Bible Stories are from the Old Testament. Eleven of the Bible stories are from the Gospels. There are no bible stories from the rest of the New Testament.
There is much to commend about this book. The pictures are colorfully illustrated. The stories are written in a straight-forward fashion. The author ends the story of Jesus following the resurrection well. The cover is appealing.
I do, however, have some concerns about the book as well. First, if it is truly a baby book, than it should really be a board book. I would not give this book to my toddler because she would tear the pages apart. Also, some of the vocabulary of the book is a little advanced for babies and preschoolers. Especially preschoolers who are trying to learn to read.
All in all, I think this book will be helpful during story time with my little ones as they grow. Baby's Little Bible is a good resource for parents to read the Bible stories to their children.

"Baby's Little Bible"
I actually have the pink (girls) version of this book, but for some reason the site would not let me post a review on that product page, so I will just post my review here.
This little Bible contains simple re-tellings of the following stories:
In the Beginning
God Chooses a Family
A Special Coat
A New Home
Walls Fall Down
The Giant and the Boy
The Big Fish
Jesus and His Message
The Hole in the Roof
The Good Shepherd
Bread and Fish
A Scary Storm
The Little Girl
Here Comes the King
The sentences in these stories are simple, and the words would be easy to read for a beginning reader. My 2 ý-year-old daughter liked the pictures in this book. They are brightly colored, and they are cartoon-like, but not so much so that they look weird.
This is not an in-depth children's Bible (and there are no Bible references listed for the stories), but it is a nice, simple retelling of a few Bible stories. I would almost hesitate to call this "Baby's Little 'Bible'," since it is more like a Bible story book and not a complete Bible.
When I asked my daughter what she liked best about this book, she said, "The Baby Jesus part." She also said she liked, "Noah with the animals" and that the pictures of the lions were, "scary...just a little bit."
