Tell us a little about yourself. I grew up in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, CA. We moved to Oregon for the quality of life and to raise our children. I began my walk with Jesus when I was a little boy, and gave my life to Him on March 3, 1973.
What was your motivation behind this project? I am an abortion survivor, which makes the inspiration to co-create and produce this series even more amazing to me. I felt very left out when my wife was pregnant with our daughter. She didn't mean to ignore me, she just wanted to have the perfect baby...which was completely natural. After seeing a segment on prenatal learning/stimulation on ABC news, and how it gets the fathers involved in the pregnancy, I called the station and contacted the assistant to the doctor who was featured in the segment on ABC. She send me a LOT of information on the subject, and I began implementing the exercises and lessons from Dr. Van de Carr's book "Prenatal Classroom." In the ninth month, I could tap where Jennifer's foot was, and she would kick me back. One tap, and she would kick me back once. Twice, and she would kick me back twice. She got up to three many many times! She also recognized my voice just after she was born. I had the camera rolling and said; "hello Jennifer, it's nice to finally meet you! She turned her head and eyes toward my voice! I will take that moment with me into eternity. It was at that point I became inspired to share this information and get as many people as possible to experience the joy that I had felt before her birth, during her birth, and during infancy.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I want them to be blessed by this and experience the blessing we had using these lessons and exercises. I want it to impact their lives and enhance the miracle of birth. For the mom, dad, and baby to become a bonded family before the baby is born. For the dad and if there are siblings, to become actively involved in teaching and communicating with the baby before birth and during infancy. To accomplish making common knowledge to all the fact that babies think, dream, and learn in the womb. I believe if every woman knew this, it would change many minds about killing their child before birth. This will be accomplished by sales and exposure of Baby's First Gift.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Working on this and witnessing how it has been transformed from a thought to a series is a continual miracle to me. The Lord has taken and sustained me during the trials and triumphs of this project. He certainly gets all the credit and the Glory for putting every piece together at every stage of this venture. This has become a life's work so to speak for me. I thank Him for giving me the idea in the first place, and relying on Him every step of the way. I have a closer walk with Him as a result of "Baby's First Gift."
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? In all truth, the Bible is my favorite book. Phil Keaggy and the 2nd Chapter of Acts laid a foundation for my song writing aspirations.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: There are a lot of products out there, but not too many that will benefit you and your family for a lifetime. In this case as is in life, the more time you put into these lessons and exercises, the more reward you will receive. Thank you for purchasing this and blessing me and my family. Peace and Blessings to you... Timothy
