Wow!!! These are great videos. I brought them on chance to teach my boys 5 and 7 more about the Lord through video. One night I decided to play one of the bible lessons and before the night was over we had went through four. My boys were so into them and had so many question. I love the way that the stories are presented by kids first and then it brings you back in time. This is a great buy for children and adults. If you don't no much about the bible and want to learn more, these are great videos.

I bought these dvds for my 5 and 6 year old as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. At the price ($9.99) I figured I would take a chance. What a great decision! These dvds are extremely well done. The stories are presented in a way that is easy for children, even young ones, to understand. The concepts are reinforced through real world examples and situations. As a parent, I particularly like the message that each story reinforces that when faced with a problem, the Bible holds the answer. I am surprised by the previous reviewer who found these "boring." My kids have taken them to kids church to share and now on movie night, the other kids at church are begging them to bring these dvds to share. Definitely a good purchase. Would also be great for Sunday School, AWANA, VBS, etc.

I am surprised at the 5-star reviews. I really thought these would be much better than they were. I found them boring. I can hardly imagine these holding the attention of children.

I had looked for a long time for Bible Stories on DVD protrayed by real people for my grandson. These are excellent. I would like to see this series continued with other realistic Bible Stories.

At the price, I could not pass this set up. When I got the package home my 5 year old was very disappointed at the cove being so simple and that it was real life and not a cartoon. She immediately rejected the DVDs and did not want to watch them. I encouraged her to give it a shot before she decided to hate the set. So, she finally decided to at least watch one episode with me. The episodes are narrated by a, modern day, young girl who uses biblical stories to encourage a group of young children how to use the lesson in daily life. Its concepts are very simple. The narrator tells the story, as real life scenes, biblical day, are acted out on the screen. There were very short parts in the Biblical scene were the acted actually spoke and played out the story with out the narrator. The episode and songs were short. The acting was well done. Surprisingly, my daughter loved it. She was really drawn into the interaction of the young girl’s narration. My child continued to ask questions that were not asked during the narration. And she enjoyed the song at the end of each episode. My toddler also enjoyed the songs. I believe that this set it a great tool for children’s church class, or maybe even for short trips to play in the car. It encourages children to think about not only the Bible story, but how to use it’s lessons in a child’s everyday life. These movies are helping to encourage good behavior, with my 5 year old, by the lessons she is learning.

Each episode shows present-day children in a life situation where biblical application occurs by the insight of a pre-teen. Pre-teen directs children to a lesson in the Bible & narrates the story while the Bible characters act out the story. The acting is fabulous from the Bible-times & present-day depictions. Occasionally, the screen switches to present-day as the pre-teen narrator clarifies for & involves her listeners by asking them questions about the story. After the lesson segment ends, there is an appropriate song about the lesson. Lyrics scroll at bottom of screen. What a GREAT buy!! I was hesitant at first because I was unfamiliar with the production company but at the bargain I couldn't resist. I'm glad I got the set! I am going to use them in church for children. Great tool for baby-sitting, too.
