Church was never meant to hurt so much. The wounded and weak have been preyed upon. Hurting souls have been frightened into submission by leaders who use people to improve their own self-esteem and advance their careers. Tragically, this has all happened within the church where salvation, healing, freedom, and love should abound. In George Bloomer's wake-up call for the church, you will learn:
-God's true design for authority
-God's true design for authority
-Why people abuse authority
-How to recognize improper use of authority
-God's restorative plan for the abused and the abuser.

As surely as the absence of authority produces chaos, the abuse of authority produces destruction. Tragically, it's inside the church--where salvation and love should abound--that some of the worst authority abuse takes place. God's design for authority has been misunderstood, twisted, and manipulated, leaving innocent people as victims and prisoners of controlling, abusive situations. Wake up! This is not God's design for the church-or authority. Bishop George Bloomer will show you the key to breaking free from the bondage of spiritual abuse.
Bishop George Bloomer is a native of Brooklyn, New York. After serving as an evangelist for fourteen years, he began pastoring in 1996. Bloomer is the founder and senior pastor of Bethel Family Worship Center in Durham, North Carolina, but he continues to travel extensively, sharing with others his testimony of how the Lord delivered him from a life of poverty, drug abuse, sexual abuse, and mental anguish. He is the author of a number of books, including the best seller Witchcraft in the Pews. He also conducts many seminars dealing with relationships, finances, stress management, and spiritual warfare. Bloomer is founder of Young Witnesses for Christ, a youth evangelistic outreach ministry with several chapters on college campuses through the United States, and bishop of C.L.U.R.T. (Come Let Us Reason Together) International Assemblies, which includes over 80 churches nationwide and abroad.

Min. Shannon5 Stars Out Of 5April 21, 2010Min. ShannonThis is awesome and informative read for possible victims and those in leadership. The book gives a clear picture of what authority abuse looks like in the home and church. It explains how the abusers may work to make one become a victim. I like this one quote from the book (paraphrase) concerning how does one know when things crooked/wrong --- when they may know when things are straight/correct. The book is very helpful in explaining how one can overcome and heal from leadership abuse. It's must for all victims and those in leadership whether on job, in the church, and in the home (husband).
Denise5 Stars Out Of 5December 28, 2009DeniseThis book is a must have for all Christians, but especially for those who come from an all black denomination where spiritual abuse is rampant. This book was and is an answer to my prayers. Sometimes God doesn't reveal what is actually happening until after you've just come out of the trial. You just "KNOW" something is quite right. This book answered in detail my many questions and has truly help me with recognizing & combating the jezebel spirit and her children (eunuchs).
