ChristianBook eBooks on the Sony Reader
To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

AnneKYAge: Under 18Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Finally! A normal Christian book for teens!August 11, 2011AnneKYAge: Under 18Gender: femaleMeets Expectations: 5I am very pleased with Sandra Byrd. She has always written good, wholesome books. I read her "Secret Sisters" series when I was younger and was soooo happy to find that she wrote a book for fifteen-year-olds. So many of the 'teenage Christian fiction' (as it is labled) deals with things that NO Christian teenager should even know about. I find it very refreshing that Mrs. Byrd writes about normal issues.
Now as to the writing and the subject matter, I think that ,as always, Mrs. Byrd has written the story well. Her characters are very lifelike. Savvy's story is interesting, funny and has problems that normal Christian kids face. Great story! My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer! I didn't want it to end!
HomeSchool Mom of 4The Hot Dry DesertAge: 25-34Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Inspiring, Clean TEENAGE Christian FictionJuly 9, 2011HomeSchool Mom of 4The Hot Dry DesertAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am always wary when reviewing Christian teenage fiction--you just never know what you might find. I've seen teenage fiction where the main characters were rebellious and boy crazy and that's not something I want to encourage in my daughters. It's hard enough being a teenager without being encouraged to chase boys and argue with your parents in Christian books.
But the main character of this book, Savvy (Savannah) is not only cool--she's a good Christian kid whose not too perfect but does her best, seeks God's wisdom, and finds how He answers her prayers for that very thing. She's an aspiring journalist seeking a role as her new English school's advice column writer. She reads the bible and prayers that God will help her give good, sound advice to her classmates. It's rewarding to see this great example of a teenager who's seeking God, staying true to him, and super cool.
The plot moved quickly, the characters were likeable, and the writing was flawless. I gave the book only 4 stars because the recommended audience is 9-12 year olds. Savvy deals with life as a 15 year old, high school girl. I don't feel that 9-12 year olds should be hanging out with high schoolers in real life, so naturally don't think they should be seeking them out in books, either. I do highly recommend this book and the rest of the series to older girls, but no younger than 14.
