Product Description

Slattery explains why he and his wife left the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and how they have found new freedom outside of the SDA Church's specific dogma. With the sensitivity of one who has "been there" he invites other Seventh-day Adventists to examine the points he offers and to possibly reassess their view of the authenticity of the prophecies of Ellen G. White.

This compact booklet answered some questions I had about Seventh Day Adventist theology. I found the booklet to be easily readable and understandable. God bless its author!!!

Slattery is evidently just one more of the malcontents who don't want to bother obeying God. It's just too much trouble to buck the tide of Sunday worship. The usual excuse, misapplied of course, is "We're no longer under the Law, but under grace". It shows a lack of understanding of scripture. Books like this are all the same, relying on misinformation rather than facts. The answer to the title is, of course, "no".

Well written, excellent documentation--not 'accusing,' and most importantly, gave me answers I was looking for! THANKS!

It is unfortunate how many people, like Mr. Slattery, are so dishonest about what SDA's really believe. This book simply regurgitates the misinformation found on so many websites that attack SDA's If you want to know what SDA's believe ASK ONE! The ones I know are Christ centered and more than happy to answer any of your questions honestly. You wouldn't want someone to go to your enemy and ask what kind of character you have would you?

As a former SDA member, the author should know better that E.G. White never told people to do anything that was not in accordance with the Bible. As we all know, most religions have a founder, so I would like the author to tell us a little bit more about his new religion, and in what way it is better than what was thaught by the SDA church.
