"Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus", by Michael Brown, is must reading for everyone who desires to be better "prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." (1Peter 3:15) Michael is thorough in his responses to "typical" objections to the Messiahship of Yeshua, yet, his style of writing make these responses easy to understand. Much insight is to be gained as a result of Michael dealing with issues such as "Christian anti-semitism". I also appreciated his views on the Holocaust (not an easy issue to deal with). Allow yourself ample time to read through this book; don't hurry - lots of good information can be gleaned from its pages. I look forward to reading volume 2 (already in my library) and volume 3 (when it becomes available).
Great book. It has heavy insights, but nothing you can't nail down, even if you do have to read parts a second time. Glad to see that someone is writing a book designed to deal with thoughts of Jewish people. Even if you don't know anyone Jewish, you need to read this book (and I anticipate you'll want to read the rest of the series, too). It will strengthen your knowledge of your own faith and will help you out against other peoples questions. If you can stand up to Jewish objections, you can stand up to just about anybody. However, don't expect Brown to do all the work for you...you're going to have to be willing to think for yourself.
